The first day I connected to a webinar

Hi everyone. Today I am going to dedicate my blog post to share the experience what I got from the last Wednesday lecture. It was the Digital marketing lecture as usual but the fantastic thing is it was the very first day I have connected with a Webinar. Webinar is some sort of E-learning method where the facilitator situated remote from the learning audience. 

The lecture was about the Search Engine Marketing which covers a wide scope in Digital marketing course. The facilitator of the lecture is Mr.Suranga Priyashantha a Digital Marketing Specialist, a Senior Consultant and a Trainer who is the founder of eBusiness Academy. Wonderful thing is he is one of a great outputs from our department, Department of Marketing Management and he mentioned that in the beginning of the lecture.

It was such a remarkable lecture as it was the first time to all of us having a lecture like this which goes beyond traditional learning. We had used usual learning methods such as lectures, workshops, presentations and seminars in last years to learn but all of them were conducted in same manner. The webinar is conducted live from Sydney, Australia we attended to that from our Internet laboratory. We saw him on the Mega screen and also the supplementary presentation appeared on that.

Even without the physical presence of the lecturer we didn’t feel any uninterested situation because there was lot to study critically. And also we had an opportunity to ask anything related to the subject from Mr.Suranga so it became very much dynamic. After the webinar he has shared the supplementary presentation with us. Just think how much a serious lecture became so convenience without decreasing its value. He went through on the Search Engine Marketing by touching all the elements of it and shown the significance of SEO. I hope the webinar will be much important in order to carry out our Digital marketing campaign well and also to draft out future career well. For that I should thank Mr. Suranga Priyashantha & Mr.Amitha Amarasinghe to provide this opportunity to us. It really values us more than what we expected.

What I have to say finally is webinar is an efficient and effective method in learning especially at the undergraduate level. And I guess for an innovative and modernistic subject like Digital Marketing we must have this kind of contemporary methods in learning. I suggest it’s better if we can have this type of methods in the beginning of our university lives as it’ll lead us to explore more in the digital world.
